Cold-rolled strip steel is one of the major raw materials of cored wire. According to recent investigation of China Alloy Site, cold-rolled strip steel price continued to drop recently in China as demand from cored wire market was weak.
In Hebei and Shandong province, the major production areas of cored wire strip steel, mainstream ex-work price of 0.35*55, Q195 strip steel dropped from RMB 3800-4000/mt (USD613-USD645/mt) to RMB 3600-3800/mt (USD581-USD613/mt) recently. There was little profit for strip steel manufacturers at present and market price was mainly supported by production cost.
