According to foreign media, global ferrosilicon quotation ran weakly through May and kept dropping. Till the end of early May, European ferrosilicon quotation was reduced to €1,120-1,175/mt from €1,150-1,180/mt and the quotation fell to €1,100-1,150/mt till the end of mid-May.
Meanwhile, US ferrosilicon price kept steady, standing at 93.5 cents/lb. Chinese ferrosilicon price stayed at USD1,380-1,400/mt FOB and the transaction price was usually at the lower one.
