Jiuquan Steel’s purchase price for high carbon ferro-chrome, which included delivery of the material in September, remained unchanged, in line with market expectations.
The latest purchase price was 6,750 yuan/ mt (83 cent per lb), the same level as the mill’s August purchase price, market participants said had no more expectation for the future market.
So far, the main stainless steel mills price basically had published for the high carbon ferrochrome. All in all, the price did not been improved obviously compared with the last month. Therefore, the ferrochrome would maintained the weak situation in short time.
